Privacy Policy
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how PURPLEMETHOD UNIPESSOAL LDA ("we", "our" or "Company") collects, uses and shares personal information when you visit our website www.purplemethod.pt ("Site") and interact with our services. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information.
2. Types of Cookies Used
We may collect the following personal information when you interact with our Site:
- 2.1. Identifying Information: This may include your name, email address, telephone number and other contact information that you provide to us when filling out forms on our Site.
- 2.2. Usage Information: We collect information about how you use our Site, including the resources you access and the actions you take.
- 2.3. Technical Information: This includes information about your device such as IP address, browser type, operating system and server log information.
3. Use of Information
We use the personal information collected for the following purposes:
- 3.1. Candidates: We use your information to identify job opportunities or services that fit your profile, check references or background checks (if necessary and in accordance with the law), contact you for interviews and recruitment discussions, and communicate hiring decisions.
- 3.2. Customers: We may use your information to send you communications related to our services, such as updates, notifications and security information.
- 3.3. Analysis and Improvement: We use information to analyze and improve our Site and services, including personalizing your user experience.
- 3.4. Email we send you: Our emails are sent through Purplemethod's own email service (mail.purplemethod.pt, hosted in the EU) — not through an external marketing provider. For each message we record the recipient, subject and delivery status. In transactional emails (service notifications, account and security messages) we may also record whether the message was opened and whether links were clicked, on the basis of our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in verifying that our own emails are being delivered. We store only four fields per event — which message, the event type, the link destination for clicks, and the timestamp: we do not store your IP address or User-Agent. Outreach, commercial and marketing emails are not tracked on this basis. You may object to this tracking at any time by emailing us, without losing any service; unsubscribing also ends it.
4. Information Sharing
We do not share your personal information with third parties, except in the following situations:
- 4.1. Business Partners: We may share your information with business partners who help us provide services to you. We also process your data to disclose job and internship opportunities and general information linked to external entities and collaborators of Purple Method IT Consulting, with which there is no agreement/protocol signed.
- 4.2. Law Enforcement: We may disclose your personal information when required by law, in response to court subpoenas, or to protect our legal rights.
5. Security and Data Retention
We have implemented security measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, misuse or disclosure. We will only keep your information for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected or as required by law.
6. Your Privacy Rights
As the holder of your personal data, you have the right to request access to them, to change them, to partially or completely limit their use, as well as to decide on what autonomous treatment you wish to give them and, at the limit, withdraw consent and exercise other legally provided rights.
7. Changes to the Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting of the revised policy on our Site.
